I'm 29, a Christian and happily married to a wonderful man named Andrew. We have a 5 year old son named Tarran that we're homeschooling and we live in the south east of Australia.

I'm a self-taught artist and I believe that anyone can become the artist they want to be, simply by using their skills of observation and a bit of practice. The same rule applies with sewing/costume making, as I am self-taught in this area also.

When I'm not drawing or painting, I'm usually sewing or knitting, reading or writing and when I'm not doing any of the above then I am most definitely thinking about at least one of those activities.

I've always had a fascination for history and times past, especially the Medieval period. Obviously this interest has influenced my artwork and most of it is focussed on medieval and fantasy inspired themes.

I adore the style of dresses and clothing from those times and it's so enjoyable to dress up with like-minded people for a day.

I've played a few musical instruments in my life like the tenor sax, clarinet and a little bit of piano. I can sing but I prefer to listen to music rather than play it. I have many soundtracks from Disney movies to Braveheart and enjoy listening to them as I create.

About HoneyDragon.net.

My first official website was DreamsInTwilight.com, and I held that domain from 2003 - 2006. Just before Christmas in 2006 I felt it was time for a change. I have always loved dragons and longed to incorporate the name into my work somehow, and with a bit of brainstorming I came up with the words Honey Dragon.

Honey can mean a loving name, a colour and a deliciously sweet substance - all of which I liked and could associate with the word "dragon."

So HoneyDragon.net was born! ^^
