Yellow Dress

Costume for "The Maiden" - 2006.

Underdress - 100% homespun cream cotton in a simple and loose design.

Dress - Yellow linen, laced at the back with cream string and yellow satin ribbon around edges.

Bodice - Burgundy chenille with a golden pattern throughout; stiffened with non-fusible interfacing and lined with yellow linen. Six pieces of boning give the bodice shape. Red and gold string holds the sizing ribbon at the back, and the bodice is laced with gold satin ribbon. The eyelets were sewn by hand. All edges of the bodice were hand sewn in a way that no stitching is visible from the outside.
